Songs we’re Banging to this Valentine's Day

FEB 14 2025

The season of  love  is here, and we all know what that means. Whether you are single, taken, or in a situationship there is always that one song that hits differently on Valentine’s Day. Wherever you may find yourself today, be it slow dancing, cuddling up with your bae, hitting up that  one ex, or celebrating with your girls, we have the perfect playlist for your mood. Here are our top picks:

Luther

Tugging at our heartstrings with its dreamscape melody, “Luther” is the kind of love song that makes you want to build a whole new world for your special someone. It captures the depth of devotion with poetic symbolism reflecting love, resilience, and hope. Performed at this year's  Super Bowl halftime show, this collaboration between Kendrick Lamar and SZA pays tribute to R&B icon Luther Vandross, sampling his classic “If This World Were Mine.” Luther is a love letter wrapped in crisp musical notes and lyrics for anyone who has ever wanted to give their person the whole world.

Heaven Knows

If you’re that person who loves to capture the small moments on film, photos, or even keeping the cutest souvenirs from dates, you are definitely one to believe in the timeless nature of love. Not only is "Heaven Knows” a smooth vintage melody, it makes you want to capture another moment in time ––  a track that truly makes you  want to fall in love and never let go. For those that have let go of that one love, it’s a bitter-sweet piece to reminisce about the one that got away.

still love you (todovia)

A dreamy melody clouded by the fog of a possible bad decision, “still love you (todovia)” feels  exactly like the moment you text your ex "I miss you" and immediately regret it. Written and recorded by an LA-based Latina-Filipina indie dream pop duo, Jewlz and Andrea, this song goes out to anyone considering rekindling that situationship this V-day. Let this song be your soft, synthy intervention –  it’s okay to still love them, but do not backslide.

Love Hangover

Maybe you’re the one who went back–  it happens! Just like the collaboration we didn’t  know we needed from South Korean pop star JENNIE, and American singer Dominic Fike, some things sneak up on us. The duo sings about being drunk on love and facing the consequences of having the pain stay with you after it all ends. If you're feeling the haunting residue of love this February, this is definitely the song for you.

Cherry Blossom

Australian electronic duo Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore are no strangers to creating music that makes you feel like you’re on cloud nine. This love song is for those who have found their person, the one they’re ready to grow old with. At its core, “Cherry Blossom” is a melody depicting love as a traveller, moving through time. Expanding on the idea of newness and opportunity, it views love as a feeling that transforms you and those around in profound ways. The euphoric beats and lyrics remind us to stop and appreciate the beauty before us.
