Korean R&B artist, Gemini mesmerized fans with his smooth-sultry vocals, fan interactions and dreamy visuals. The 28-year-old artist made some patrons' night extra special by taking their phones to capture selfies, record moments of him singing to them and holding hands.
On his first U.S. stop of the “Still Blue Tour” in support of his sophomore album “Still Blue,” Gemini performed on the neon-lit stage in Le Poisson Rouge, New York on March 17. The show opened with a 20-minute set from designer turned musician, Jinsol Woo who pumped up the audience with his singles “Minutes,” “Internet Love” and some unreleased music. Supporting DJ, Fallens kept up the hype with his K-R&B and pop filled set. After much anticipation, Gemini started off with powerful tracks, “Love is Banned” and “Bad” from his latest album.
Much like his stage name Gemini –derived from his sun sign– the artist showcases different sides of him through his music. While most of his songs are about love, you can’t put Gemini in a box. He depicts a spectrum of emotions through his music. After opening with darker tunes, he goes on to serenade the crowd with giddy romantic numbers like “Mon Amor,” “Inside Out” and “She Lives in Paris.” Mid-set he moves on to catchy and playful tracks like “MIA” and “Trip.” Fans danced, cheered and sang along with Gemini throughout the set. He ended the show with an encore of his breakthrough single “Broken Love.”
