If you’re looking to rave at this year’s Lollapalooza in Chicago Aug 1-4, be prepared for a stacked lineup of familiar favorites like Shrillex, Don Diablo and Zeds Dead. But it doesn’t stop there. We’ve got you covered with our top picks whether you’re into dubstep or house or something brand new you’ve never heard before.
ALOK
Best known in the Brazilian EDM scene, Alok has entered the world stage with his evolved house music, pushing the limits with emotional and familiar tracks. You have probably heard his music without even realizing it. If you’re at lolla to dance, you can’t miss him at the Perry’s stage at 4:30 PM on Friday. Alok has been known to release pop and bass songs that captivate audiences, having had collaborations with popular artists like Alan Walker, Marshmello and the Chainsmokers. We recommend listening to his new track “Summer’s Back” or “LET’S GET FKD UP” in anticipation for his set.
JESSICA AUDIFFRED
Mexican DJ Jessica Audiffred’s sound is an energizing mix of riddim and dubstep, sometimes mixed with trap. She’s a force to be reckoned with, having performed at Beyond Wonderland, EDC and Lost Lands to name a few. If you want to headbang and see a talented artist who’s collaborated with the likes of DIESEL, Excision and Black Tiger Sex Machine - be there at Perry’s stage at 2:15 PM on Sunday. We suggest pregaming with her new track “HERO”, an incredible collaboration with Adventure Club.
MOCHAKK
24 year old Brazilian DJ Mochakk rose to viral status on TikTok after he took fellow house DJ John Summit’s advice for using the platform. His sound ranges from tech house to deep house and his enthusiastic persona both in person and online has given him successful opportunities like Coachella in 2023. Catch him at the Perry’s stage at 7:30 PM on Thursday.
BENGA
Having just collaborated with pop icon Charli XCX to remix her hit single “Von Dutch”, Benga has become an icon of bass, future and dubstep sounds worldwide. You can hear bits of UK garage in his sound as well. Benga’s set will stand alone amongst the lolla lineup as something you didn’t know you were craving to listen to.
MERSIV
Known for having his own unique sound, Mersiv’s sound lives on the borderline of bass and dubstep - all the while emanating therapeutic and healing energy to his listeners. His genre is one of one, extremely versatile - mixing in a lot of rap. Just this week, he played in a B2B with Zeds Dead in Denver, having extremely good reviews from the audience. Take a listen to his set at the Perry’s stage at 4:45 PM Sunday.
