ARTISTS TO LOOK OUT FOR AT ROLLING LOUD CALIFORNIA

JAN 13 2024

by Chris Mae

Rolling Loud is coming back to California from March 15th to 17th this spring. The lineup is stacked with well-known artists like Bryson Tiller and Future x Metro Boomin, as well as rising stars like Maiya the Don and Joony. We’ve gathered some sets we recommend you don’t miss - all these artists rose to fame on the internet and are harnessing the power of blending genres together to create a new sound that will tickle your ears in just the right places.

ANYCIA

Anycia is not your average Gen-Z rapper. Her smooth bars on the viral single “BRB” even had 6-god Drake mesmerized, who encouraged her to keep going. The Atlanta native raps over soft hip-hop beats and has taken an organic approach with her artistry. It’s going to be her first-ever Rolling Loud performance and we definitely don’t think it’s going to be the last. Catch her on the same stage as Queen Nicki on day one.

JELEEL!

Jeleel is anything but quiet; his sound is catchy, addictive and in all exclamations (literally). His single “Dive In!” turned out to be super popular on social media when it dropped and he’s known to be a crowd surfer. The rapper’s sound is a fun twist from rock and punk genres and into a new form of hip hop has gotten him 1M loyal followers on Instagram and it’s rising every time he drops a track. Catch Jeleel on day one with big names like Tyga and Sexxy Red. If you're seeing his set at Rolling Loud, we recommend being ready for him to “Dive In!” to the crowd.

LAY BANKZ

After dropping her first single and going viral on TikTok at age fifteen, Lay Bankz is a force to be reckoned with. The best way to explain her sound is pop meets R&B. She blurs the lines when it comes to genre and makes it her own with popular tracks like “Na Na Na” and “Ick”. Bankz recently released “Girls Just Wanna” and WE just wanna keep hearing her addicting and unique sound. Lay Bankz will be performing on day one, don’t miss it.

JORDAN WARD

You’ve probably heard of Jordan Ward a lot last year with his debut album “FORWARD.” He blends R&B, melodic rap and mellow beats. Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri - the rapper prides himself with meaningful music that speaks to the people around him. He’s set to tour on the west coast of the US this March after a successful European tour (see our Amsterdam gallery here) and will be performing at Rolling Loud on day two with names like Post Malone and Summer Walker.

KANII

Probably known best for his song “I Know” going viral on TikTok, Kanii has made a splash in a space somewhere in between electronic sound and rap. Taking inspiration from Brent Faiyaz and XXXTentacion, his sound has a soft and euphoric feel. He is set to tour Europe and the US this spring, also opening for PinkPantheress on her greatly anticipated “Capable of Love tour.” You can see him on day one of Rolling Loud.
